iso.rice.iit.edu: Microsoft operating systems and development tools from the Microsoft Developers Network, Linux distributions, tools for Web development and for writing and using CD (ISO) images. MSDN resources may only be used by Computer Science and Information Technology & Management students and faculty (accessible from IIT Rice Campus only).
IITApps: Selected freeware and uncrippled shareware programs for Microsoft Windows give the student a complete set of Windows applications in a manner similar to the way applications are bundled in Linux distributions. Over 90 applications of all types are included and theoretically should meet the needs for most, if not all, common uses for your PC. This software has been evaluated by the Center for Professional Development's IT staff and is considered to be "the best of breed" in most areas.
