Bachelor's Information Technology & Management

Degree Requirements

Students are required to take 66 credit hours at IIT and transfer 60 credit hours to complete the bachelor's degree for a total of 126 credit hours. These courses must satisfy the distribution requirements specified in the General Education section of the Undergraduate Bulletin through a combination of transfer courses and coursework completed at IIT.

Transfer Courses - 60 credit hours distributed as follows:

General Education Requirements

	Basic Writing Proficiency Requirement
		Students must take the IIT English Proficiency Examination before beginning Classes at IIT. Within the first year at IIT, students who do not pass the IIT English Proficiency Examination must demonstrate basic writing proficiency by passing a composition course at IIT
	Mathematics - 5 credit hours
		Coursework at the level of Math 119 or above; Probability and Statistics is highly recommended.
	Computer Science - 2 credit hours
		Coursework at the level of CS 105, ITM 311 or above
	Humanities and Social or Behavioral Sciences - 9 credit hours
		A minimum of 3 credit hours in Humanities and 3 credit hours in Social or Behavioral Sciences
	Natural Sciences or Engineering - 11 credit hours
		Relevant courses include biology, physics, chemistry and engineering

Technical or Free Electives - 33 credit hours

Coursework completed at IIT - 66 credit hours distributed as follows:

General Education Requirements

Humanities and Social or Behavioral Science - 12 credit hours
Two 300 level or above Humanities courses
Two 300 level or above Social or Behavioral Sciences courses
Interprofessional Projects
(IPRO) - 6 credit hours
Students
participate in at least two Interprofessional Project experiences. These projects develop communication teamwork and leadership skills, as well as an awareness of economic, marketing, ethical and social issues within the framework of a multidisciplinary team project. The project teams will be integrated across academic programs and at different levels within programs.
